![]() Stiles Stilinski suddenly appears in front him, where he's hanging upside down from the porch's gutter, startling both boys so much that they scream in fear until each realizes that they're not in danger. However, he's quickly startled by a noise outside and freezes before grabbing a baseball bat and heading out to the wraparound porch in order to investigate. Once he's finished, he does pull-ups from a bar on the lintel to his bathroom, and then heads inside the bathroom to brush his teeth and wash his face. Over at the McCall House, Scott McCall is sitting on his bed while he restrings the net on his lacrosse stick. The deputies, accompanied by their cadaver dogs and holding flashlights, begin to search the area. #Teen wolf in wolf forms fullHe doesn’t lose sight of his humanity, and that’s what makes him a good alpha, a “true” one.Police cruisers full of Beacon County Sheriff's deputies pull in to the Beacon Hills Preserve. He doesn’t need his betas to be werewolves in order to form a strong pack, and he doesn’t need to change in order to be an alpha. It’s because he doesn’t need to be a werewolf, or to have superpowers, in order to be a good leader and a great person. Scott is still, at the end, more human than all of the other werewolves in the series. We talked about the forms all the alphas take and then we realized - Scott doesn’t look like a wolf, or a monster, or a beta. This, again, came out of a conversation with my bf after watching the finale together. He didn’t really care about power to start with.įinally, this is the reason why I wanted to write this thing to begin with. He never wanted to lead, never wanted this kind of responsibility, he just wanted a pack, a family. I think that’s what he wanted too, and it shows when he transforms. I always wanted him to go back to being a beta. I was always in the “Derek wasn’t supposed to and never wanted to be an alpha and that’s why he wasn’t good at it” club. Not being a good alpha = not looking like one, right? But my boyfriend said something that made me see it really differently Derek looks like a beta. I used to think that Derek looked like this when he transformed because he wasn’t a good alpha. He still has some humanity left in him (my thoughts on the matter aside, the show apparently decided that he was redeemable). BUT unlike Peter, who was more of a literal monster, who looked more like a giant wolf, Deucalion is still humanoid. Deucalion was a decent guy, “man of vision”, before he went blind (side eyeing the way the show handles disabilities >_>), but the killing of his pack and others and absorbing their powers turned him into a monster, like Peter. He does look more human than Peter, though, which in my opinion is very telling and would probably be important later on as we discover Peter’s long term plan. This is a pretty obvious case of “twins are connected and are a part of each other”. Even when they’re not fighting together, they can still feel each other’s pain. When Ethan and Aiden go alpha, they merge and literally become the same person. ![]() So as an alpha he does look more like a wolf, but he’s still a monster. But, unlike Talia and Laura, he can’t turn into an actual wolf, because he uses his werewolf powers for ~*~evil~*~. ![]() He is a Talia’s brother and he grew up with other werewolves, and we know that he’s pretty in touch with his werewolf side. Peter is quite literally a monster when he takes his alpha form, and I think we can all agree that he is pretty much a monster as a person as well. So yeah, more proof that the Hale ladies were badass. I think the wolf is the most natural, positive form an alpha can take, and it seems logical that all alphas are supposed to aspire to be able to take it. They grew up with other werewolves, Talia especially knew a lot about werewolf lore and was shown to be respected by other werewolves, even the ones who weren’t in her pack. I think this shows that they were very in touch with their inner wolf - spiritually connected to it. Talia and Laura could both turn into actual wolves when they transformed. So! We have a bunch of Alphas in this series, and in this season in particular. If someone did talk about this then I’m sorry, I really don’t mean to step on anyone’s toes! Also, I want to thank celendiar who helped me a lot with this writing thing. I want to expand this theory and add something that I haven’t seen anyone mention before. People in fandom generally believe that the forms the alphas take reflect who they really are (just like Jackson with the Kanima). This wonderful theory talks about the alphas on the show and the form each one of them takes. ![]() So after watching the finale, there’s something I want to talk about. ![]()
